Sod Installation
New Grass That Roots and Stays.
St. Augustine is the default here and handles shade better than most. Zoysia is finer and takes more sun. Bahia is the tough, low-input option for larger open lots. We will tell you which suits your yard.
Old turf comes out rather than getting covered over, then the grade is corrected so water runs away from the house. This is the step that decides whether the lawn takes.
Rows go down staggered and butted tight so the seams knit instead of showing. Edges get cut in against walks and beds rather than left to overhang.
Water deeply and often while the roots take hold, and stay off it. This part is genuinely on you, and it is where most new lawns are won or lost.
Square footage, how much old turf has to come out, and access. A back yard reached through a single gate takes longer than an open front lawn.
Sod installation explained
Why do most failed lawns have nothing to do with the sod?
How it works
How we lay your sod.
1.
We walk the yard
We measure the area and figure out why the old grass failed, so the new sod will not.
2.
Tear-out and grade
Old turf comes out, the grade gets corrected, and the soil gets prepped to take roots.
3.
Laying the sod
Fresh-cut sod goes down tight and staggered, edges trimmed clean to beds and walks.
4.
Water-in and care
We roll it, water it in, and leave you a straight care sheet for the first two weeks.
